New Art on Parade Sculptures to Be Unveiled in Northglenn
Event is at 6 p.m. Wed., June 20, at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park

The Northglenn Arts & Humanities Foundation (NAHF) has installed six new sculptures at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park that have been chosen for the 2012/2013 Art on Parade season. They will be unveiled at a public ceremony at 6 p.m. June 20. Artists will be on hand to answer questions about their pieces during a walking tour after the ceremony.

The sculptures will stay in the park until May 2013. The park is across from City Hall, 11701 Community Center Drive.

The new sculptures are part of Northglenn's 12th annual Art on Parade program, an on-loan outdoor sculpture exhibit funded by NAHF and the Adams County Scientific and Cultural Facilities District. Artists loan their pieces for one year. Park patrons vote for their favorite piece each season. Dubbed "The People's Choice," the winning sculpture is purchased by NAHF and gifted to the city for permanent placement. The sculptures are also available for sale to the public.

The city’s annual free summer concert series will open immediately following the ceremony with delta blues artists Felonius Smith Trio at 6:30 p.m.
