Adams County to Unveil Draft Open Space, Parks and Trails Master Plan | Environment
Title (Max 100 Characters)
The Adams County Parks and Community Resources Department needs county residents’ input to help to shape the future of open space, parks, and trails in Adams County. Adams County is creating a new Open Space, Parks, and Trails Master Plan.
A resident survey was completed and several community meetings conducted earlier this year to gather information regarding citizen values and needs. Residents are encouraged to attend one of the upcoming meetings to learn about the Open Space, Parks and Trails Master Plan draft. Comments will be incorporated into the final plan. The draft plan will be available on July 9 and can be downloaded from the project website: www.adamscountyopenspace.com.
Meetings are one hour in duration and will be held at the following locations:
Wednesday, July 11 – 7 p.m.
Bennett Town Hall
455 S 4th Street, Bennett, CO 80102
Thursday, July 12 - Noon and 6 p.m.
Carl Park Community Center
5401 Meade Street, Denver, CO 80221
Friday, July 13 - Noon
Adams County Regional Park and Fairgrounds
Waymire (Dome) Building, Rendezvous Rooms
9755 Henderson Rd., Brighton, CO 80601
The final plan will replace the Open Space Plan created in 1999. Design Workshop, a landscape architecture, land planning, urban design and strategic services firm, was chosen to lead this effort for Adams County.
